Battlefields BackerKit Lock - Feb 22
Whew, that went by faster than I expected. On February 22 I will be moving to lock all placed orders, and charging those who chose credit card payment method. If you were looking to add any extra items to your order, now is the time to do it. Because after the 22nd, orders will be locked.
Have you seen the Ogre Pocket Boxes?!
Our Pocket Box campaign is going strong. Not only are we offering Ogre, G.E.V., and Battlesuit Pocket Boxes in all of their restored glory, but the backers just showed scissors the door and unlocked die-cut counters for Shockwave and the Ogre Reinforcement Pack!
In addition, if you pick up an Ogre Pocket box, you will get super sweet Storage Box label to throw on a blank Pocket Box. Click the image below to head over and check out all 15 Pocket Box games currently unlocked, as well as all of the expansions, folders, and other items currently available.
Also wanted to throw in a small footnote about our upcoming FnordCon. We will be showing off some new games like Car Wars and Munchkin Warhammer 40,000, as well as holding an Ogre painting contest. I'm pretty sure I ordered a few new Ogre items that will be debuting at FnordCon, but my memory just isn't what it used to be. All of these new Ogre items has me feeling a little Ogrewhelmed.

Our Pocket Box campaign on Kickstarter is bringing back over 20 classic Steve Jackson Games titles from the eighties, including key Ogre releases to replace your lost originals. So far, for the Ogre fans in the group, the campaign includes

87% of Surveys Complete, FnordCon Update, and Pocket Box Games

We're less than two weeks from locking the Battlefields surveys and can happily report that 87% of you have already completed your survey. Thank you! Quick completion of your survey allows us to better control inventory and plan for fulfillment, and we appreciate you taking care of the survey ASAP. For the 13% of you who have not yet completed your survey, please email [email protected] if you're having troubles and we'll help as best we can.
FnordCon
On April 6 and 7, in Austin, we're holding our own little convention: FnordCon! We'll have Ogre events and, just maybe, something new for Ogre at the show (Steve, Drew, and Gabby have been working on an item that we're sure many of you will enjoy). You can learn more about the con and buy your ticket right here!
Pocket Box Games Now on Kickstarter
In other news, the Pocket Box campaign has met its goal and is now unlocking those stretch goals. For the Ogre players, we've already got Pocket Box replicas of Ogre, G.E.V., and Battlesuit ready-to-go, and the $80,000 stretch goal, if met, unlocks a reproduction of the 1980s Shockwave ziplock bag expansion.
And there's more than just Ogre! Car Wars and Illuminati are also a part of the project, and we're close to unlocking the Undead stretch goal and adding that classic game to the project.

Survey Update, Add-ons and an interesting fact...

Surveys issues resolved...
We're all fine here now, thank you. How are you?
To recap, an issue arose due to an oversight in the cost of shipping for add-ons only. If your order happened to fall within two very narrow 16 ounce windows, the system provided you with the wrong price. That issue was resolved less than 24 hours later, and since that moments we've had over 1,100 backers submit their surveys. Thank you!!!
I repeat, if you're still holding out, everything is fixed and orders that were affected have been reviewed.
Missing an Add-on?
Add-on items in BackerKit are manually maintained with limits set on our lower stock items. There were a few moments that some add-ons, such as dice, did not show on the store as they hit our limits. If you had a sneaking suspicion something was out of stock you might be right. Head back to your email from BackerKit, click your unique pledge link, and edit your order if you missed an item the first time through.
That's a lot of playmats...
Between your support here on the Ogre Battlefields project, as well as those who supported Ogrezine 2, you've ordered nearly 2,500 playmats. Each playmat is 24 inches x 24 inches, while a football field clocks in at 3,600 inches long. If we were to lay out each mat side by side, it would be longer than 16 football fields! For those of you who use the superior measurement system, we're just over 1.5 kilometers in length!

Jpeg Proofs Approved and FnordCon!

Fantastic news! The factory and Sabrina worked closely together to handle the jpeg proof approvals on Battlefields before the factory closed down for Chinese New Year, meaning that we'll see a tooling sample shortly after they reopen late next month. With luck, we'll have a tooling sample of the Battlefields box to share with everyone at . . .
FnordCon!
As Drew mentioned recently, we're now open for FnordCon pre-registration. We have a total of 250 weekend tickets available for the April 6 and 7 event in Austin, and we hope that you can make it for the fun. You can see info on the event here, and pre-register here. In addition to Ogre, we'll also be running the Car Wars Sixth Edition game, The Fantasy Trip, the new Munchkin Warhammer 40,000, and more!
